Here is a video of some extremely effective one liners to negotiate a better deal.

The technique described in this video is known as the “krunch”.  Read more on effective negotiation tips.

  1. One liner that works: I can let you know tomorrow.

Usually the seller does NOT want you to get away. They become prepared to negotiate at that moment.

Thanks for your thoughts! Kind of you to share.

  2. I am a wedding photographer based in Connecticut. I just watched your video – Negotiation One Liners – and I have heard them all before from potential clients who ultimately did not book with me.

So, my question to you is, do you have a list of negotiation one-liners I could use in response to those that I keep hearing that will convince those “on-the-fence” clients to book with me? Getting a pricing push-back all the time is painful.

  3. Thanks for your comments everyone!

@photographer, depending on the krunch they use on you, you can respond in a similar way. Also check out one my other negotiation videos on keeping your price up.

    Some examples:

Them: This price just isn’t going to work for us.
You: Well, a wedding is going to be the most memorable moment of your life. It’s priceless. You want to make sure you capture it in a way that lets you look fondly back on this day when you’re older. I can make that happen for you.

Them: Can you be more flexible?
You: I can taper back on some of the options in my wedding package to create a package that is more suited to your needs. Of the things we discussed, what is most important to you?

    Them: What?!?
You (looking confused): Did you have any questions?

I love this quote by Jack Canfield: People who ask confidently get more than those who are hesitant and uncertain. When you’ve figured out what you want to ask for, do it with certainty, boldness and confidence.
