Preparing to start a business

Are you thinking about starting a business?  Here is a tip that will help you prepare:

Visit your local library every 3 weeks, or however long their checkout period is for books. During each trip, get at least 3 books on marketing, management, advertising, public relations, accounting and anything related to building a company.  Whatever you don’t finish reading before the due date, renew on your next trip to the library.

I did this for almost a year just to get acquainted with what I had to do to start and build a business.  It was immensely helpful.  After a while, I was able to skim most of the books and glean relevant material since many of them repeated the same suggestions.
