I recently invested $24 million – in chocolate bars that is. My daughter’s Girl Scout troop was looking for parents to speak about their careers and to create an activity for the girls to learn.
I spoke about business so I had them participate in a mock Shark Tank where they created a business to sell a product that they cut out from a magazine. They had to make presentations and negotiate a deal for an equity stake in their company in exchange for a certain dollar amount.
At the end, I gave each girl 2 bars of chocolate worth $1 million each for a stake in their “company.” Some of them are already very savvy negotiators. I can’t wait to see them start their own companies as they grow older. So adorable!
Good luck from all of us at MoreBusiness.com! May all your ventures be fruitful.
