Low Cost Marketing Ideas

Low Cost Marketing Ideas

If you have a growing company, then you have to deal with the issues related to the marketing of your products and services. You can ask a marketing consultant to do this work for you, but they can cost a lot of money. So it is better to find some ways of marketing your business that won't run your business in the poorhouse!

Press Releases: You can write newsworthy press releases and draw the attention of readers (prospective customers) towards your company. Make sure that the press releases are short and to the point. They should have an opening phrase or sentence that is convincing and has the ability to hold readers' attention.

Search Engine Marketing: In today's world, it has become a necessity to have a website and to be listed in the search engines (MSN, Yahoo! and Google). More and more people are using the Internet to do everything from contacting friends to grocery shopping.  Your website hosting company should be reliable, so that prospective customers can easily access your site.  They can't do that if the site is down all the time.

Trade Shows: Rent some space at a trade show and hand out promotional materials to prospective clients. Make sure that you have prospects fill out a contact card with their information, so that you can contact them after the show.  Also make sure that they have your business card so that they can get in touch with you.

Direct Mail: Create a finely tuned list (email or print) of target customers and mail sales material to them directly.

Public Service: You can promote your company in a positive manner in the community by making donations to charities, sponsoring events, and holding events with other groups or local schools.

Marketing your business doesn't have to cost a fortune to be effective.
